  3. Gulzar: Careful, don't let it drip on your sketches, or do - it's fun. Don't think I'll ever color these in really. They are meant to be their own thing, just moments here and there filled with trying to draw. Let paintings be paintings and drawing be drawings. They are just for fun.

Jessica: Aww shucks, you're too kind. <3

  5. Nice sketches. I really like the simplicity of the second one.

  6. I so agree with you Thomas...sometimes its best to leave an art its in purest form...

Love your approach and you know that :)

  7. Great use of coffee Tom :)! And I love the one with the dude in the field of grass, you know how to make something amazing and beautiful even out of the simplest most mundane situation!

  8. Love following your two blogs. Do you do these sketches as warmups? How long did it take you to get so confidant with your line! I make such a mess in thumbnails still.

Calader: Thank you kindly! Was great fun to have spilled coffee by accident, so much so that it became very much on purpose. I think the most mundane and simplest situations are beautiful :)

Portable City: Thank you very much! These sketches aren't really warm-ups, they are their own thing. Just sketches for sketches sake. A way to relax. Line confidence, oh I don't know - sometimes I just flow with the accidents, sometimes it takes me a few tries to get it right, sometimes I hover over and trace an imaginary line to see what it gives. My only suggestion, though it sounds snide - is simply focus on becoming less messy. Do a thumbnail not for an image, but to see if you can become more confident and orderly and I am sure with practice you will find that you have gained what you were after.
